World Trade Center Montevideo
Una delle zone più nuove di Montevideo si trova nel barrio de Buceo. Questa zona ospita un complesso di grattacieli che viene chiamato World Trade Center Montevideo e che è, effettivamente, uno dei posti che merita una visita poichè spezza in maniera forte l’architettura della città. Nel complesso rientrano, al momento, diversi grattacieli, ma andranno ad aumentare nei prossimi anni , e vengono pubblicizzati con uno slogan molto forte che mi hanno comunicato dei ragazzi che lavorano in alcune aziende famose la cui sede è all’interno di questi ufficio “World Trade Center: lavorerai nel posto migliore per vivere“.
La zona del WTC è tra le più belle di Montevideo: bassissima criminalità, ristoranti di livello medio-alto, discoteche, bar ed uno shopping center molto famoso e molto grande dove poter fare shopping, mangiare, guardare un film, bere qualcosa o fare semplicemente la spesa. Tra i vari grattacieli è stata edificata, verso il 2010, una piazza dove sono installate alcune opere molto semplici.
Un tema molto importante, e curioso, è la “Zona franca”: uno dei grattacieli si chiama infatti “WTC Free Zone”, ed è l’ultima ad essere stato inaugurato: 23 piano di free zone, con eliporto, dove la tassazione uruguaya non esiste!
